We feel it’s important to recognise that coach development is a culmination of formal and informal education taken from a vast array of Continuing Personal Development (CPD) opportunities within and outside Cricket and sport.
While the current coach education structure creates opportunities for new coaches to access the game of Cricket, it is also crucial that our programmes re-engage current coaches in learning and development. Cricket Scotland endeavours to offer a range of hybrid learning coach development options and more clearly defined guidance for coaches working in different environments, creating opportunities to learn at all levels for coaches with a mindset to improve continually.
The coaching world constantly evolves with new research and increased global access to a wide range of information. Please see the helpful links below, which are great content for coaches.
Cricket Scotland is fully committed to safeguarding the wellbeing of all children in its care. It recognises the responsibility to promote safe practice and to protect children from harm, abuse and exploitation.
For those volunteering with children at their club, we have a free webinar which covers good practice in coaching cricket involving children.
