DRUMMOND JOINS HIGH PERFORMANCE COACH DEVELOPER PROGRAMME

DRUMMOND JOINS HIGH PERFORMANCE COACH DEVELOPER PROGRAMME

Scotland Men's Assistant Head Coach Gordon Drummond has been selected to participate in a specialist high-performance coaching programme developed by the University of Stirling.

Gordon, a former Scotland Men's captain who also heads up Cricket Scotland's Coach Development programme, is joining colleagues from Scottish Hockey, Triathlon Scotland, Cricket Scotland, Scottish Cycling, Paddle Scotland, Scottish Swimming, Scottish Rugby and the sportscotland Institute of Sport on the High Performance Coach Developer Programme.

The programme is designed to strengthen the support available to coaches working in high-performance sport, and brings together experienced practitioners from a range of sporting backgrounds to deepen their understanding of how coaches learn and develop, and how best to support them in complex performance environments.

Participants examine the factors that influence learning and performance, including relationships, culture and coaching environments, while developing evidence-informed approaches to supporting coaches in their day-to-day practice.

More information about the programme can be found HERE. Cricket Scotland would like to congratulate Gordon on his selection and wishes him the very best during his participation in the programme.
