CRAIG WALLACE INDUCTED INTO FORFARSHIRE CC HALL OF FAME

Scotland Women's Head Coach Craig Wallace became the sixth person inducted into the Forfarshire CC Hall of Fame at the club's 2024 Senior Awards Evening.

 

Wallace has enjoyed a hugely successful and trophy-laden playing career with Forfarshire, including the Men's Scottish Cup and Men's T20 Scottish Cup double in 2023.

 

His success with Forfarshire brought Wallace well-deserved international recognition with Scotland, earning nearly 100 caps and being part of two ICC Men's T20 World Cup squads.

 

"It's quite surreal to be honest, getting inducted at 34 feels a bit ridiculous, but also pretty amazing," said Wallace.

 

"I've been a part of the club for 28 years, and I can honestly say I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for the decision my parents made to take me there.

 

"I just want to say a massive thank you to Forfarshire for everything they've done for me over the 28 years, and it's been an amazing journey so far as part of the club.

 

"I'm excited to continue my personal journey with Scotland Women, but I know the club will continue it's own journey, growing and developing, and I'll still be here to help if and when needed!"

 

 

Wallace received his award from former Forfarshire captain and Hall of Fame inductee Umair Mohammed, and joins Mohammed, Alex Steele MBE, Graeme Garden, Dick Auchinleck and Rae McLelland in the club's pantheon.
