SCOTLAND DEFEAT NETHERLANDS TO SECURE TRI-SERIES VICTORY
Scotland Women secured the Heriot-Watt University Women's T20 International Tri-Series with a rain-affected 24 run victory over the Netherlands.
Scotland, who had won two of their opening three fixtures in the series, were put into bat by the Dutch after wet conditions in Edinburgh saw the game reduced to 12 overs-a-side.
The Scots posted an imposing 124-3 from their 12 overs - Kathryn Bryce striking a sublime 33-ball 63, supported by Katherine Fraser (29) and Sarah Bryce (23*).
In response, the Netherlands flew out of the traps, and when the rain threatened to play spoiler again, forcing the teams from the field after six overs, they were 59-2 - three runs ahead of the DLS par.
But the break in play was short lived, with the Netherlands set a revised target of 105 in 10 overs - and when Babette de Leede (15) and Sterre Kalis (28) fell in quick succession, to Chloe Abel and Priyanaz Chatterji, Scotland were back in control.
The Dutch ultimately fell well short, finishing on 80-6, as Scotland head into the World Cup next week following a successful series on home turf.
