SCOTLAND STUN BANGLADESH TO MAKE IT TWO WINS FROM TWO
Scotland made it two wins from two in the Heriot-Watt University Women's T20 International Series with a superb eight-wicket win over Bangladesh.
After hammering Netherlands by nine wickets on Thursday, Scotland backed that up with a dominant all-round performance to defeat Bangladesh for the first time - chasing down 134 inside 16 overs.
Winning the toss and batting first, Bangladesh were restricted to 133-5, with captain Nigar Sultana Joty leading the way with an unbeaten 46 - supported by Sobhana Mostary (22) and Shorna Akter (22).
Kathryn Bryce, Gabriella Fontenla, Kirstie Gordon and Abtaha Maqsood all struck with the ball for the Scots - Fontenla the standout on just her second T20i appearance, taking 1-11 from her four overs.
In reply, Katherine Fraser and Darcey Carter once again got their side off to an excellent start, adding 33 in just 26 deliveries - before Carter fell to Ritu Moni for 23.
Enter Kathryn Bryce, who added first 47 with Fraser (28) and then 54 with Sarah Bryce (23*), striking an unbeaten 54 from just 32 deliveries - including three sixes.
It was left to Sarah Bryce to strike the winning runs, carving Mostary away for four - as Scotland made it back-to-back wins on home soil.
