CRICKET SCOTLAND LAUNCHES EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION ACTION PLAN

Cricket Scotland is proud to announce the launch of its comprehensive EDI Action Plan, a pivotal step in cultivating a more inclusive and equitable cultural environment for everyone involved in Scottish cricket.
The EDI Action Plan represents a significant commitment to creating a cricketing community in Scotland where everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued, and given opportunities to thrive, regardless of their background.
It builds upon the foundation laid by the consolidation of Cricket Scotland’s existing EDI Strategy and Anti-Racism Delivery Plan, meeting the overarching goal and ensuring a unified and impactful approach to addressing systemic inequalities, whilst promoting diversity at all levels and developing positive sustainable change.
The Plan is designed to be a living document, detailing specific actions and initiatives to achieve the strategic goals. It will be regularly reviewed and updated to reflect the evolving needs of the Scottish cricketing community and the latest best practices in EDI.
It focuses on several key areas, including:
- Increasing representation at all levels of the game.
- Addressing and eliminating discrimination and bias.
- Promoting inclusive leadership and governance.
- Creating accessible and welcoming environments
- Educating and training our community on EDI principles.
