SCOTLAND SWEEP TO QUAD CUP TRIUMPH IN THAILAND

Scotland Women eased to a comfortable seven-wicket win over Namibia to lift the Quad Cup in Bangkok on Monday.

Fielding first in Bangkok, Scotland restricted their opponents to 81-9 in their 20 overs, with Rachel Slater (3-11) and Priyanaz Chatterji (2-7) proving miserly with the ball. Olivia Bell (2-24) and Hannah Rainey (2-18) also chipped in as the Scots never gave Namibia a chance to set a competitive total.

In reply, Ellen Watson top-scored with 30, supported well by Darcey Carter (22) as Scotland eased to the target with more than five overs to spare. The result was a third in a row after wins over Papua New Guinea and Thailand over the weekend.

Scotland's next challenge is the ICC Emerging Nations Trophy, beginning on Thursday against Uganda. They follow that with matches against Tanzania, UAE, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, Netherlands and Thailand, wioth the tournament concluding on November 30.
