CRICKET SCOTLAND INVESTING IN THE DOMESTIC GAME

Cricket Scotland is please to confirm its continued investment into the domestic game with three new appointments to the development team.

 

Connor Brian - Disability Development Officer

 

Connor Brian, our new Disability Cricket Development Officer, will oversee all our Super 1’s hubs and SEND/ASN school delivery across the country, and he'll also take a lead on setting up new hubs and projects in the new year.

 

Connor comes with plenty of experience in sport development from his previous role at Hibernian Community Foundation, where he's been working with an aim of growing autism and neurodiversity football.

 

Having worked within grassroots football previously at Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust, Connor also worked as a physical education teacher in the United Arab Emirates for a brief period.

 

Gary McDaid - RDO Central

 

Gary McDaid is our new Regional Development Officer for the Central region, covering clubs in Angus, Dundee and Fife as well as being the Cricket Scotland contact for Perthshire clubs. 

 

Gary has worked across a number of areas on projects with us in recent times, and brings a wealth of experience from his background in cricket development and coaching in both Northern Ireland and Scotland.

 

Cameron Rochow - RDO East

 

Cameron Rochow joins Cricket Scotland as our new Regional Development Officer for the East, overseeing clubs in Edinburgh and the Lothians. 

 

Cameron joins us from Durham, where he has been working with the community engagement team and has gained some great experience working on breaking down barriers to participation in cricket.

 

Prior to Durham, Cameron worked with Cricket Victoria in Australia and we're excited for him to apply the variety of knowledge and viewpoints he has gained from these different roles to cricket in the east of Scotland.
