SCOTLAND MEN 'A' TO FACE DENMARK

A Scotland Men 'A' squad has been named to face Denmark in a pair of 50 over fixtures at Stirling County CC this week.

 

The 15-player squad, led by Chris McBride, features four members of the recent Under 19s squad that qualified for the 2026 World Cup, with Rory Grant, Ollie Jones, Manu Saraswat and Jake Woodhouse all making the step up.

 

Steve Snell, Cricket Scotland Head of Performance, said: 

 

"I'm really pleased we have further A team cricket this year, which provides further development and performance opportunities for players to transition into the national squad.

 

"A team cricket provides that balance between rewarding performance, whilst also having an eye on the future, so it's great to provide opportunities for four players who showed strong potential in the U19s Qualifier and across the summer.

 

"There are lots of strong performances being made across domestic cricket which is great to see, and some of those have been unable to get into the squads this week - and we have been looking at those performances closely, but ensuring we have an eye on the skill priorities for the national squad."
