TRIBUTES PAID TO FORMER SCU TREASURER BRIAN HOPE

Cricket Scotland would like to express its deepest sympathies to the family, friends and former teammates of former Scottish Cricket Union Treasurer Brian Hope, who recently passed away.

Brian was a familiar face to many within Scottish cricket, particularly through his longstanding ties and service to Uddingston CC and West of Scotland CC, where he was club captain between 1983 and 1985. He served as SCU Treasurer between 1983-1994.

A private family funeral was held last week in Spain, where Brian lived for many years. A memorial event honour him will be held later in the year by West of Scotland CC at Hamilton Crescent, with details to be shared in due course.
