SCOTLAND WOMEN NOMINATED FOR TEAM OF THE YEAR AT SWIS AWARDS

Scotland Women have been nominated for the Team Scotland Team of the Year Award at the 2024 Scottish Women in Sport Awards, following a trailblazing year on the field.

In May, Scotland qualified for a Women’s T20 World Cup for the first-time ever, after a stunning eight-wicket win over Full Member nation Ireland in Abu Dhabi earned a place at the 2024 edition of the global event, which took place in the UAE earlier this month.

Scotland were just the 12th nation to qualify for the 10-team World Cup across nine editions, and were the only associate side to compete at the event in the UAE.

Kathryn Bryce’s side are finalists for the award alongside Celtic Women and Scotland U21 Women’s Hockey.

The 11th Scottish Women in Sport Awards will take place on Friday 1 November at The Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
