SCOTLAND WOMEN 'A' TO FACE ENGLAND U19
A Scotland Women 'A' squad has been named for a series of fixtures against England Under 19s in Loughborough next week.
The squad will spend time training at the National Cricket Performance Centre (NCPC) in Loughborough, and will face an England Under 19s XI in 40-over, 50-over and T20 fixtures.
Craig Wallace, Scotland Women's Head Coach, said:
"It's a really exciting opportunity for us next week to play some cricket at a good standard. The 'A' squad have had a really good summer in terms of having to learn lots, and it will be interesting to see what we've learnt over the last block of games and training.
"This week is so important in getting the group back together, playing the way that we want to be playing as a team, and connecting with each other as much as we can. It's hard when everyone's all over the country, so it's good to be able spend time together on and off the pitch.
"It's great to see Niamh Robertson-Jack and Olivia Bell back after some time out with injury, and it will be great to work with them again alongside the rest of the group - and it's also an exciting opportunity for some of the younger players to continue the work they've been putting in, and test themselves against strong opposition."
