MONDAY U19 QUALIFIER FIXTURES POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER WARNING

The impending arrival of Storm Floris means an amber weather warning has been issued across most of Scotland between 1000 and 2200 today (Monday 4 August). Consequently, today’s fixtures at the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup Europe Qualifier have been postponed due to safety concerns and will now be played on Tuesday 5 August.
The decision to postpone today’s matches considers government advice and has been taken with the safety of players, match officials, tournament staff and volunteers in mind, as well as concerns around infrastructure at host venues, and travel disruptions for teams and suppliers.
Recognising the exceptional circumstances surrounding the pre-emptive postponement of today’s matches because of safety concerns, the ICC Event Technical Committee has convened and approved the rescheduling of today’s fixtures to Tuesday 5 August, originally scheduled as a rest day.
The remaining fixtures will now take place as follows:
Tuesday 5 August
Guernsey v Jersey – Forfarshire CC
Scotland v Denmark – Arbroath United CC
Sweden v Netherlands – Strathmore CC
Wednesday 6 August
Netherlands v Scotland – Forfarshire CC
Denmark v Guernsey – Arbroath United CC
Jersey v Sweden – Strathmore CC
