NAYMA JOINS NATIONAL SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Nayma Sheikh has become the first Scottish cricketer to be selected for Winning Students 100, Scotland’s national sport scholarship programme.

The programme, formerly known as Winning Students, is a vital support system and talent pipeline within Scottish sport, supporting over 1,700 student athletes to help them achieve success in their respective disciplines while gaining an academic qualification and forging the start of a successful career path.

Nayma, who is studying Accountancy and Finance at Glasgow Caledonian University, made her Scotland senior debut in 2023 and has won 9 caps. She joins 105 athletes across 31 different sports who will receive funding to support their studies and sporting ambitions.
