WICKETZ PARTICIPANTS LEARN LIFE-SAVING SKILLS FROM BRITISH RED CROSS

WICKETZ PARTICIPANTS LEARN LIFE-SAVING SKILLS FROM BRITISH RED CROSS

Wicketz participants at Cricket Scotland's four Edinburgh hubs recently received training in how to deliver practical CPR and First Aid, thanks to workshops delivered by the British Red Cross.

The workshops saw 71 young people learn life-saving skills, equipping them with the knowledge of the steps to take should someone require medical assistance.

Mo Afzaal, Wicketz Development Officer, said: "It was fantastic to see our Wicketz participants really engaging with these workshops, learning a really important life-long skill, which only adds to their personal development.

"I'd like to thank the British Red Cross for delivering these sessions, and helping to provide our participants with the tools to have a really positive impact within their communities."

Wicketz is a community cricket programme, delivered in partnership with Lord's Taverners, aimed at young people from underserved communities aged 8-19, providing them with a safe space to play cricket and learn life skills.
