RAIN WASHES OUT SCOTS HOPES OF SUPER SIX PROGRESS

Scotland U19 Women were denied the chance to test themselves against Sri Lanka on Sunday as persistent rain in Kuala Lumpur washed out their first Super Six fixture without a ball being bowled.

The weather looked ominous from the start of the day, and the umpires made a decision to call the game off at 1230 local time, with rain still falling. The teams earn a point each following the abandonment.

The Scots now turn their focus towards Tuesday's second Super Six fixture against India (0630 GMT) but their hopes of semifinal qualification are now over, as they cannot overhaul either India or Australia in the standings in Super Six Group 1. Nonetheless, this match will provide another fantastic opportunity for Scotland to face one of the world's best teams, and will round off what's been a historic and memorable campaign in Malaysia.
