BRANDON MCMULLEN SIGNS FOR HAMPSHIRE

Brandon McMullen has signed a contract with Hampshire to participate in the 2025 Men’s Metro Bank One Day Cup, beginning from 13 August.
McMullen, 25, has played for Scotland a total of 58 times in One Day and T20 cricket, where he has scored four centuries and 11 fifties.
Brandon said: “I’m really excited to join Hampshire for this year’s One Day Cup. The club have been exceptional in the competition for the last few years, and I look forward to joining up with the team and get cracking.”
He made his Scotland debut in 2022 and has racked up over 1,500 runs across ODIs and IT20s whilst averaging 43.15 in the 50-over format.
His maiden international century came against Oman in 2023 in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe which Scotland went on to win by 76 runs.
Jimmy Adams, Hampshire Men’s One Day Cup Head Coach, said: “Brandon will be a great addition to our 50-over side, bringing significant experience at international level. He’ll miss the first couple of games, but his skillset compliments the balance of our squad nicely and we’re very excited to see the impact he’ll have for us.”
In Scotland’s recent T20 Tri Series against Nepal and Netherlands, McMullen scored 114 runs with a strike rate of 144.30, making a half-century against Netherlands which came off just 27 balls.
Hampshire Men begin their One Day Cup campaign with a trip to Neath to take on Glamorgan on Tuesday 5 August before a first home match against Essex on Thursday 7 August.
