CRICHIIT RELAUNCHED FOR 2026 ON SPORTSCOTLAND LEARNING PLATFORM

Cricket Scotland’s pioneering and award-winning CricHIIT programme has been relaunched and refreshed for 2026, with improved access and an updated programme.
The online course, developed and launched by Cricket Scotland in 2018, is a fast and fun combination of basic cricket skills and the hugely popular HIIT (high intensity interval training) workouts. The programme has been globally recognised at the ICC Development Awards and adopted by clubs around Scotland as well as by Cricket Ireland.
For 2026, the course is now accessible to all within Scotland via sportscotland’s Brightspace learning platform, making it more widely available to access for the community, while the programme has been updated and refined to be curated for the benefit of athletes or clubs in Scotland.
Anna Macrae, Cricket Scotland’s Women and Girls Engagement Manager, said:
"We’re delighted to relaunch CricHIIT ahead of the 2026 season. The move to the Brightspace platform makes it significantly easier for teachers, coaches and deliverers across Scotland to access high-quality, relevant resources.
“By embedding it within a trusted national platform, we’re removing barriers and helping more people confidently deliver fun, inclusive cricket activity. CricHiit has already been used successfully across Scotland, and this relaunch will make it even easier and more straightforward for every club, school and community to access.
“As the new season approaches, we would encourage clubs or players looking to start the programme to get in touch with either myself or their local Cricket Scotland Regional Development Officer.”
