GIRLS ENJOY DYNAMOS CRICKET FESTIVAL AT STEWART'S MELVILLE

Over 40 girls took part in our Dynamos Cricket Festival in Edinburgh at the weekend, enjoying a morning of fun games, whilst developing their cricket skills.

 

Girls from four clubs, as well as our Wicketz hubs, took part in the event at Stewart's Melville CC, celebrating the Dynamos Cricket programme, which provides a next step for all those graduating from All Stars Cricket, and the perfect introduction for all 8-11 year-olds new to the sport.

 

 

Jasper Davidson, Scotland Men's International, said: "It was great to be at the Girls' Dynamos Festival, getting involved and doing a bit of umpiring and a bit of coaching.

 

"It was great to see so many girls out there playing cricket, enjoying it in the sun, and there was plenty of talent on show!"

 

Megan McColl, Scotland Women's International said: "It's really important for the women and girls game in Scotland that we have events like this, where girls can come together, enjoy themselves playing cricket, and make new friends through the sport."
