MUHAYMEN MAJEED AND ZAINULLAH IHSAN TO REPRESENT ICC EUROPE U23 AT LORD'S

Cricket Scotland is pleased to confirm that Muhaymen Majeed and Zainullah Ihsan have been selected to represent ICC Europe Under 23s against the MCC at Lord's.
The match, to take place on Friday 11 April, provides a platform for male emerging cricket talent from high performing European ICC associate members, with players from six different nations involved.
Muhaymen (Renfrew CC/Felling CC) and Zainullah (GHK CC) have both played for Scotland at Under 19 level, with the former also representing the Scotland XI at the European Cricket Championship last year.
Steve Snell, Cricket Scotland Head of Performance, said:
"It’s a fantastic opportunity for Muhaymen and Zainullah to represent ICC Europe at Lord's, and we’re grateful to the ICC for putting this initiative together.
"Providing opportunities such as this for promising young players across Europe is a really good way to continue their development, and continue to grow the game.
“Zainullah showed some real promise when playing against England and Ireland Under 19s at Loughborough in September, where he bowled with real pace, and this is a chance for him to continue to show what he can do, whilst also learning and developing his game further.
“Muhaymen has had a strong winter and has been practicing really well, and we wanted to encourage that work by providing him with this opportunity.
"We’ve had limited opportunities in terms of transitional cricket which sits beyond the Under 19s, which we’re hoping to expand upon this summer, so this fixture gives Muhaymen and Zainullah the ability to showcase their talents on a fantastic stage at Lord's."
