SCOTLAND WOMEN A SQUAD NAMED TO FACE NACC

The Scotland Women's 'A' squad has been named to take on a National Asian Cricket Council XI in a pair of T20s at Goldenacre.

 

The side will be led by Nayma Sheikh, and includes five of the squad that competed at the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup in Malaysia in January.

 

The T20 doubleheader will take place at the home of Heriot's CC on Friday 30 May. Both matches will be available to watch live on the Cricket Scotland YouTube channel.

 

Craig Wallace, Scotland Women's Head Coach, said:

 

"There's been a lot spoken recently about the lack of cricket we've got, so for the Scottish-based players to get an opportunity to play a good level of cricket, and show us what they can do is important.

 

"Those selected have done really well this season in club cricket, so it's good to give them further opportunities to really challenge themselves at a different level and see how they perform.

 

"I'm really looking forward to the group expressing themselves on the pitch, and showcasing their skills."
