EMMA CALVERT AND SADIA SHEIKH APPOINTED TO CRICKET SCOTLAND BOARD

Cricket Scotland is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Directors to the Cricket Scotland (CSCL) Board.

 

Emma Calvert, who joins as an Independent Non-Executive Director and also becomes Chair of the Performance Cricket Committee, is Director of Women's Cricket at Surrey County Cricket Club.

A qualified chartered accountant, who as a young cricketer played for Lancashire, Emma is also a Non-Executive Director at British Wheelchair Basketball. She has worked for City Football Club and Morgan Stanley, and is passionate about Scotland, having spent ten years living in Glasgow attending The University of Glasgow and the commencement of her career.

 

Sadia Sheikh, who joins as an Independent Non-Executive Director, is an international communications and marketing director for Badar Expo Solutions, an event management company specialising in B2B trade exhibitions, conferences, concerts and sporting events.

Based in Glasgow and a member of Clydesdale Cricket Club for more than 30 years, Sadia sits on the club’s committee, is an ICC accredited coach and is a strong and active supporter of Scottish domestic cricket and the growth of the women and girls game in particular.

“I am delighted to welcome both Emma and Sadia to the Board of Cricket Scotland. Both will bring outstanding cricket experience that covers grassroots and community through to elite level.

 

“While Emma will Chair the Performance Cricket Committee, Jamie Cox – Cricket Scotland (CSCL) Board Member and CEO of Somerset CCC – will refocus his INED activity acting as our Board lead working alongside the ECB as we jointly prepare for the introduction of cricket at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028”.
