MEGAN MCCOLL SIGNS FOR NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Scotland international Megan McColl has signed for Northamptonshire Women for their 2026 Vitality Blast Women's League 2 campaign.

The 25-year-old featured for Yorkshire in Tier 2 last season, making one appearance in their Metro Bank One Day Cup League 2 defeat to Glamorgan, but will link up with the Steelbacks for their whole Blast campaign.

The Steelbacks open their Blast campaign against Worcestershire on Sunday 24 May, with the group phase running until early July.

McColl said: "Whilst I love playing for my country, being able to play Tier 2 cricket for Northamptonshire and be in the English system is a really exciting opportunity for me to continue to develop and compete at a high level of cricket and I’m looking forward to doing that here.

“I’m really excited for the upcoming season and can’t wait to get involved with the team as much as possible. Hopefully I can contribute to a successful season.”
